Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actor who gained notoriety for her role as Missandei in HBO's epic fantasy "Game of Thrones" (HBO 2011, 2011-19). Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea, a seaside resort town in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn by acting at a young age. Nathalie began taking singing, acting as well as dancing classes at 3 years of age. Her parents were impressed. Emmanuel was a talented actor who grew rapidly. As of the middle in the 90s, she was playing the role of a young Nala in "The Lion King,"" a West End musical that has been acclaimed. Emmanuel started auditioning as a young teenager to film and television roles. The first time she was noticed was 2007, when she was chosen to play Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95--). Emmanuel took on the role for four years, eventually leaving the show in 2010. Emmanuel's next big break occurred three years later when she was cast as Missandei as the character's interpreter Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel has appeared in each season of "Game of Thrones" through until the series' May 2019 finale.
